Quiet Racing Thoughts With EFT Tapping For Deep Sleep
Breathwork: Self-Sound Techniques For Serene Sleep
Create a soothing nighttime ritual with Breathwork Facilitator and Holistic Health Coach Raquel Rivelo through this guided self-sound breathwork practice for restful sleep. Using simple breathing techniques, sighing breath, and bumblebee breath, you’ll explore how your own breath and voice can become tools for relaxation and self-connection. This practice is especially supportive for moments when stress, overwhelming thoughts, or a busy mind make it difficult to settle down at night. As you move through gentle breath and sound techniques, you’ll be guided to bring your awareness into your body, release the energy of the day, and create a peaceful transition into sleep.

Sighing Breath for Relaxation
Begin with a simple sighing breath using a full inhale through the nose followed by a long, open-mouth exhale and audible sigh. This gentle breathing technique creates space to release some of the mental and physical tension that may have accumulated throughout the day. As you repeat the breath, allow yourself to slow down and notice what changes in your body. The practice offers a simple way to shift your attention inward and begin preparing yourself for a more restful evening.
Bumblebee Breath & Humming
From sighing breath, Raquel guides you into bumblebee breath, a humming technique performed with the mouth closed. You’ll inhale deeply through the nose and extend the exhale with a gentle humming sound, exploring different lengths and vocal tones as you move through the practice. With your hands placed over different areas of the body, you’ll be invited to notice warmth, tingling, buzzing, or other sensations and observe how the sound resonates for you. This combination of breath, humming, and body awareness creates a soothing self-sound practice that can help you become more present and connected to your body before bed.
Connect With Your Body Through Breath & Sound
Throughout the practice, you’ll bring your hands and awareness to areas including the top of the head, throat, heart, and belly while experimenting with higher and lower vocal tones. Rather than needing to achieve a particular sensation, you’re encouraged to simply notice what you experience and allow your awareness to settle into the body. This mindful breathing practice offers an opportunity to step away from a busy or ruminating mind and reconnect with the physical experience of breathing, humming, warmth, and stillness.
Prepare for Restful Sleep With a Body Scan
The practice concludes with a final sighing breath and a gentle full-body scan, moving your awareness from your toes through your hips, belly, chest, shoulders, heart, throat, and head. You’ll have space to notice any areas that still feel active and bring your breath and attention there, allowing yourself to soften and settle before rest. End your nighttime ritual with one final deep breath and exhale, carrying the sense of calm and relaxation you’ve cultivated into a beautiful night of sleep.
