In this gentle evening yoga practice, Arianna Bickle guides you through relaxing stretches, mindful movement, and conscious breathing designed to help you release the tension of the day and prepare your body and mind for peaceful sleep. Through slow, restorative poses and moments of stillness, you’ll create space to decompress your nervous system, soften physical tension, and shift your awareness toward rest. This calming practice is an invitation to let go of unfinished tasks, quiet the mind, and reconnect with the present moment as you prepare for a deep, restful night.
Gentle Yoga for Relaxation & Better Sleep
The practice begins with a restful variation of Child’s Pose, allowing the body to become heavy and supported before moving into gentle belly-facing frog poses, Cat-Cow, Downward Dog, low lunges, and forward folds. Arianna then guides you through hamstring stretches, gentle standing twists, reclining spinal twists, and a final restorative frog pose. Throughout the practice, you’re encouraged to follow an easy natural breath, release effort, and notice sensations without trying to force them away. The practice closes with knees-to-chest, a fetal position, and a quiet seated breathing exercise to help you transition toward sleep.
Release the Stress & Tension of the Day
Preparing for restful sleep is more than simply getting into bed. Giving the body time to slow down can help create a sense of spaciousness between the demands of the day and the stillness of nighttime. Through gentle stretching, conscious breathing, and restorative movement, this practice invites you to notice where you may be holding tension and gradually soften your grip. Rather than forcing relaxation, Arianna encourages you to surrender into sensation, allowing gravity, breath, and mindful movement to support the process of unwinding.
