In this soul-nourishing breathwork and meditation practice, Amanda Kramer guides you through a mindful body scan and three-part breathing technique designed to deepen your connection to yourself, your body, and the subtle energy within and around you. Beginning with embodied awareness, you’ll slowly move your attention through the entire body before transitioning into a grounding belly breath that expands through the ribs and upper chest. This gentle breathwork meditation invites you to cultivate presence, gratitude, and love while creating space to reconnect with your inner world and experience a greater sense of ease.
Mindful Body Scan for Embodied Presence
The practice begins with a slow and thorough body scan, bringing your awareness from the crown of your head through your face, neck, shoulders, arms, chest, abdomen, back, hips, legs, and feet. Rather than trying to change or manage any sensations, Amanda encourages you to simply notice what is present, including warmth, tingling, pressure, tension, or areas where you may feel little or no sensation. This mindful movement of awareness helps you connect with the body from within and settle into a deeper state of embodied presence. As you continue, you’re invited to notice the subtle energy moving through the body and the connection between your physical form, your breath, and the space surrounding you.
Three-Part Breathwork for Connection & Expansion
Once the body scan is complete, the practice transitions into a three-part breath, beginning with diaphragmatic belly breathing before expanding the inhale through the ribs and into the upper chest. You’ll breathe slowly through the nose, allowing the belly to expand first, followed by the ribs and chest, and then release the breath gradually from the chest down through the ribs and belly. This conscious breathing pattern gives you an opportunity to anchor into the body while experiencing a sense of spaciousness and expansion. As the active breathwork comes to a close, you’ll gradually return to your natural breath, allowing the body and mind to settle into a grounded and receptive state.
