Give yourself permission to slow down, soften, and simply be. In this restorative yoga and body scan practice with Arianna Bickle, you’ll move through a gentle sequence designed to help you unwind after a busy day or stressful week, release physical tension, and reconnect with your body. Using supportive props, restful poses, mindful breathing, and a guided body scan, this practice creates space for deep relaxation and recovery without asking you to push or perform.
A Restorative Practice for Deep Relaxation
This gentle restorative yoga flow focuses on slowing down and allowing the body to receive support. You’ll explore supported poses, gentle hip openers, twists, and Legs Up the Wall while using your breath to soften areas of tension. The practice is intentionally slow and accessible, making it a beautiful option when you’re feeling stressed, overwhelmed, tired, or simply in need of some quiet time for yourself.
Reconnect With Your Body Through a Guided Body Scan
The practice closes with a calming body scan in Legs Up the Wall, guiding your awareness through the feet, legs, hips, abdomen, back, chest, arms, throat, jaw, and face. As you bring attention to each part of the body, you’re invited to release tension, settle into stillness, and reconnect with the sensations of being fully supported. This mindful body awareness can help create a deeper sense of relaxation and presence.
What You’ll Practice
This restorative yoga session includes supported Frog Pose, a supported forward fold, gentle seated twists, hip-opening poses, Legs Up the Wall, and a guided body scan. You’ll need a yoga mat and may want yoga blocks, pillows, blankets, or a bolster for additional support. Props are optional and household alternatives can easily be used.
